At Taj Chandigarh, World Heritage Day celebrated India’s intangible cultural heritage—bringing alive Punjab’s rich legacy through Phulkari and jutti artisan showcases under the Paathya initiative, and a grand welcome with nagada beats.
The evening featured diya lighting by Dr. Karan Singh, former Regent of Jammu & Kashmir and a distinguished statesman associated with UNESCO’s cultural initiatives, followed by vibrant Bhangra, soulful tabla, a hi-tea with local delicacies, and an interactive lassi & churri workshop at Dera. Guests departed with a Kaintha necklace as a timeless keepsake of Punjab’s heritage.
