" My wife and I spent two criminally short nights at Arco Iris and the more I think about how best to describe this place, the more confounded I get about how I can explain what this place meant to us. I am nonetheless going to give it a try.
Arco Iris is an absolute gift to all of us. Especially artists and musicians. The kind of internal contemplation and slowing down this place can induce is unparalleled by any other place I've been to so far. All I did for 2 days was sit and think and read and play music. It's peaceful beyond belief.
The house is absolutely tastefully decorated and not one corner of it has been overdone or neglected. Everything looks just right and the fact that its 220 years old with a rich and deep history only adds massive amounts of charm to the place.
The hosts, Ganesh and Benita are wonderfully welcoming, homely and made our experience there feel like a second home. We spent most of our time there in the premises of the house and the garden because it felt silly to leave such a beautiful place and go do something else. This place has everything one needs for an absolute and much needed slowing down that anyone from the city like us needs desperately.
The facilities here are aplenty. Food is excellent and the breakfast we got as part of our package was delicious and made for a morning much looked forward to. This place is very easily approachable by road and is located in a dangerously perfect spot overlooking a lake people by several birds during sunsets.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a contemplative, restful, refreshing, quiet, natural and wholesome holiday. The people are wonderful, the place is run perfectly and lastly and most importantly, it is nothing short of what heaven if it were a place, would feel like.
My wife and I cannot wait to revisit this again and we are thinking of making this an annual if not more feature in our holiday plans"
