The team isn't the factor that will lead you to glory and accolades, it's the teamwork.

We hosted the "Chennai Cluster Beach Volleyball Tournament" at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa successfully on May 31, 2022.
We would like to thank each and every associate from each and every hotel who participated in the competition and made it into a riveting battle of hurls and smashes!
Congratulations to The Westin Chennai Velachery for emerging triumph and Four Points by Sheraton Mahabalipuram for achieving the Runner-Up spot, all thanks to their energetic players and amazing synergy in-between matches.
Last but not the least, cheers to Thampuran S from Four Points by Sheraton for grabbing the Man of The Tournament award with his deadly serves and counters.

The associates at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa assembled together for Town Hall for the month of April 2022. The forum is a great opportunity for the management and leadership team to highlight essential topics regarding service standards of Marriott & Sheraton as a brand and sharing business updates as well as detailed insights into the past, the present and the future of the company.
Train the best, be the best: Every department got to share their own opinions and demonstrate their future development plans for the associates, whether it be via Marriott’s online training platform – DLZ or via in-house departmental training sessions. Trainings subjects like: BECOME, Grooming Standards, Associate Appreciation – Thank You Cards and Sheraton Service Cards.
Appreciate & Motivate: We presented awards for service excellence where we appreciated with best performance certifications such as: ‘Associates of the month’, ‘Executives of the month’ & ‘Managers of the Quarter’.
Finally, we would like thank all the associates for the effort that they have put in throughout the year, and we hope we continue to grow higher up the ladder to even bigger success.

On the occassion Eid-Ul-Fitr, our associates at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa were invited for a lavish Iftar lunch, where they shared the meal with the leadership team at The Reef.

The final Serve360 activity for World Earth Day 2022 was something which included the inclusion of the employees and the guests who come to stay at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa.

Our associates had gathered together for a "seed bomb" making session. What are seed bombs? They are small balls of clay which include seeds of any random plant. This method of plantation is actually an ancient technique which was used by farmers for hundreds of years.
The seed bombs created were later accumulated together and put into jute bags which were made in-house by our talented gardeners. The seed bombs in jute bags were then circulated among guests checking out who were asked to toss them on the nearby fields.
It's an easy and efficient way of growing flora in the fields, and we would like to express our gratitude to each and every associate who participated and made this venture successful.

The earth is the most sentient and giving planet in the entire solar system. So it's extremely important of the nature and ecosystem to maintain a habitable and healthy atmosphere for each and every being to bide in.
We celebrated World Earth Day 2022 by doing two major activities, the first of which is a tree plantation drive in a nearby school. The associates at Sheraton Grand Chennai planted trees all across the school by using old school farming methods: digging, planting and watering.
The children were also invited to participate by pouring water and taking an oath that they would take care of the plants regularly and maintain the greenery in the school.
We would like to thank each and every associate who volunteered in making this Serve360 activity possible!

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.

In any workplace, it is very important to make sure that we groom leaders of tomorrow so the industry's future remains bright and full of promising talent.
We had organized a graduation ceremony of Executive Development Program (EDP) for our selected associates. Each one of these associates had worked hard on it, even amidst day-to-day busy operations and with honor, we presented them their deserving certificates.
We wish the best to our EDP graduates and hope to see them become strong beacons of leadership in the coming future.

We believe in learning each and every day, because that's how any person can mold themselves to become future leaders of the generation.

On 14 April, we had our monthly intern's meet for April 2022. The whole point of these meetings is to get to know how the youngsters in our resort are doing and listen out to their viewpoints and queries on how to make the training experience even better.
Many topics were covered including sexual harassment in the workplace and how to tackle it. A real-time survey was conducted where we got to know the pulse of the interns and what all the majority of the crowd's opinion is on their training experience. We also presented various awards like 'Best Intern of the month', 'Best Groomed Gentleman', 'Best Groomed Lady' & ''Most Energetic Intern'.

Finally we concluded with a virtual feedback session, and obviously, like always snacks and chilled beverages were served.

Every month we do these meetings, we seem to learn a little more about the strong beginners of the future. There's always room for improvement, and we hope the intern's learn, grow and shine to be leading hoteliers in the future.
