Dear Customers and Well-Wishers,
In light of recent news reports, we wish to provide a clear and transparent update regarding the temporary closure of our branch near Chennai Airport, Alandur.
Yesterday, local revenue authorities initiated an administrative enforcement action concerning a building-stand dispute between the landlord of the said property and the Government. This matter relates solely to the title and ownership of the land, and Hotel Saravana Bhavan is not a party to the dispute in any capacity.
We would like to emphasize that our operations at this branch have always been lawful, transparent, and fully compliant with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The enforcement action was directed at the ownership issue alone, not at the functioning of our restaurant or any aspect of our business conduct.
As law-abiding citizens, we have extended complete cooperation to the authorities and have temporarily vacated the premises in accordance with due process. We remain confident that this matter will be resolved between the landlord and the Government through proper legal channels in due course.
This development represents only a temporary interruption at one leased location.
All our other branches across Chennai, India, and abroad remain fully operational, continuing to serve you with the same warmth, care, and authentic South Indian favors that have defined the Hotel Saravana Bhavan experience for decades.
We deeply value the trust and affection our customers, partners, and employees have placed in us over the years. Your support continues to inspire us to uphold the highest standards of service, hygiene, and hospitality.
At Hotel Saravana Bhavan, we believe that challenges are temporary, but our commitment to our patrons is permanent.
Life goes on. So does our service.
With gratitude,
Team Hotel Saravana Bhavan
