Munavar Basha & his wife, 60 years old couple, started Annai Ullam & Annai Ladies hostel hostel in Kodambakkam on February 2013, with an intention to help the poor old people. Annai Ullam is run free of cost for the poor people who don't have any family support. His idea is
to create a secure, family like surrounding for the students and working professionals, who are away from home, for a reasonable monthly/term fee. The money earned through the ladies hostel are used to provide food, shelter, clothes and medical supplies for the old people in the home. This hostel & the old age home are in Kodambakkam, Chennai. The place is closer to the railway and bus stations, which is ideal for college students and working professionals. In the hostel, girls get nice & clean shared accommodation, quality food (both vegetarian and non vegetarian), family like surrounding, friendly and professional room mates.
