Hotel Vasanth Vihar located at the heart of the beautiful city of Chickmagalur was established in the year 1964 by B.H.Dayanand.Pai. Being one of the oldest lodges in Malnad region, it was initially launched with 24 rooms and a vegetarian restaurant. It has proudly sheltered some of the finest yesteryear's actors like Dr.Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Ambarish, Kalpana and many more on a regular basis.

In the year 1994 a new block was built by the Pai groups with 20 more rooms, thus making a total of 44 rooms. An hygienic non vegetarian restaurant was also opened in the same year. In 2002 the whole building was renovated which got us the approval from Karnataka State Tourism (KSTDC). A licensed bar and restaurant was also established soon after. Later in the year 2013 construction of a new state of the art block was started with 20 rooms which is now opened to all the guests. The new block also houses a multi cuisine veg/nonveg restaurant and also a terrace house with over the top party space which shall be given on request. The location of hotel vasanth vihar is ideal for tourists travelling to other spots of attraction.

These rooms include top class amenities including a private balcony. The new block also houses a multi cuisine veg/nonveg restaurant and an unique King Room with a private terrace space.
