Deviramma Dhevi_ Deviramma Betta (Dhevi Giri) is one of the Devotional Temple in Chickmagaluru located in Chandra Drona Parvatha (Western Ghat) its altitude around 5900 Ft (1800 Mtr) from Mean Sea Level.
I Saw a vastness, a rising shape, gray in the misty drizzle, at first had through it was a cloud, a great bank of fog drifting up over the mountains but now I realized with a cold, aware that it was real a vast building climbing the mountain side, raising in countless series of green galleries, for away and immense it's like a needle sharp with one uttermost pinnacle. It's Deviramma Betta.
Earlier kemmanna gundi was the summer retreat of king of Mysore Krishna raja Wodeyar lV.
One more saying that Mysore king initiate Celebration based on indication (lighting) from the deviramma hill.
Thousands of devotees claim the hill during first day of Deepavali (Karthik Amavase) to get Devi Dharshana, and devotes rejoice the beauty of Mother Nature. The uphill walk was breath taking. On our right was the deep valley.
More than One Lakh people Climb Dhevi Giri and Take Dharshana of Sri Deviramma.
From Children to Aged Veterans people of all age groups, claim the hill, through there was huge rush it did not pose any threat to the devotees energy.
Wooden pieces and dry sticks are kept at the start portion of hill, Devotees offer they can carry wooden sticks or they can offer cloths, ghee.
Majority of the devotees who climb the hill with empty stomach, and have food only after seeing Deepotsava @ 7pm evening

Main Statue (Sculpture) of Sri Deviramma is in Devigiri Betta (Mula Vigraha). It’s difficult to perform everyday pooja and other rituals, so one More Temple built near Bindiga, this history goes beyond 890 years.
