E.W.J.L is located on the immediate periphery of the National Park on one side and the Khanpur Range Haridwar on the other. A 100 acre private mango and amla orchard with almost every possible tree variety is right on our premises. We are approximately 3 and 1/2 hours from Delhi, and 2 and 1/2 hours from Mussoorie, making us the perfect weekend getaway. We are accessible by road, air and rail from

every part of India. The Park is an amalgamation of three sanctuaries – Rajaji Sanctuary, Motichur Sanctuary, and Chilla Sanctuary. The Park is named after the noted statesman and freedom fighter Sri C. Rajgopalachariya, popularly known as “Rajaji”. The Park is spread over an area of approximately 821 sq. in the districts of Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal. (Uttarakhand in Northern India). The Park is one of the largest elephant sanctuaries in Asia, and represents the fragile Shiwalik eco-system. The Shiwaliks are one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and a treasure trove of fossils. The Holy Ganga and its mountain tributaries and streams flow through this area, making it lush and green and the perfect atmosphere for Sal, Sheesham and Khair trees. The Rajaji Park has a diverse eco-system which is suitable for a variety of wildlife and birds of various species. The Park is home to the elephant, tiger, leopard, Himalayan bear, cheetal, hog deer, barking deer, sambar deer, wild boar, antelopes such as the nilgai, goral, jackal, hyena, jungle cat, civets, Himalayan yellow-throated marten, sloth bears, pythons, king cobra, common krait, Indian cobra and the monitor lizard.
