Not the kind of holidays most people like... All six of our hill retreats are close to Delhi and well connected by train & by road.

Wildrift Adventures has been creating nature based adventure holidays since 1993 and has carefully chosen the settings of our Eco campsites in the Kumaun Himalayas. Our camps and mountain lodges are comfortable, clean and affordable and yet, are not the kind of places frenzied holiday makers throng to in droves. For what you’ll find here, are mountains, trees, lakes, stars, birds, river beaches, f

ish, conifer-scented air, the friendly villager, the odd leopard & perhaps the occasional ghost. And, if you’re not content to simply sit around surrounded by all of the above, there’s trekking, paragliding, mountain biking, kayaking, rock-climbing and day dreaming. A quiet getaway with family, soft adventure camping for kids, cultural treks, action packed team outing, leisure holiday in a heritage house with friends or extreme adventure sports for thrill seekers, we have a break in the hills for everyone.

Kedar Tal – Shiva’s Lake at 16,000 ft
One of Uttarakhand’s highest glacial lakes, Kedar Tal is formed by melting snow from towering Himalayan peaks. It is the origin of the Kedar Ganga River, a major tributary of the Bhagirathi.
This moderate-to-challenging trek offers stunning views of Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth, Jogin peaks and many other Himalayan giants.
If you’re lucky, you might even spot rare Himalayan wildlife along the trail!
