Chadar – The Frozen Zanskar River Trek - 12 Days

The Chadar walk isn’t called the ‘wildest trek in the world’ for nothing. It’s a primal trek on the Zanskar River, which is sheathed in ice each winter. We walk on ice, traverse across the gorge walls where the river thaws, and bed in caves that have been used by local travellers over centuries.

Legends, history, culture and magical landscapes are an everyday affair on this walk, which is possible only in a window during coldest months of winter. And we’ve not even begun on the utterly real possibilities of seeing a glut of wildlife — from the bharal and the ibex to the elusive carnivores, the wolf and the regal snow leopard.

The trek follows an ancient trail used by the Zanskaris during the days of the SIlk Road, when they walked this frozen highway all the way to Leh with wares they would trade for essentials. They’d build fires in caves, and read the weather, and milk and chapatis, to forecast the troubles ahead. We’ll have more accurate forecasts, but do much else like the locals do — staying in caves and warming ourselves by the fire.

For those looking for adventure, action and bragging rights, nothing can hold a candle to the Chadar trek.

MARKHA VALLEY TREK
Ladakh really is a "Little Tibet". Although Tibet is politically part of China today, Ladakh, like parts of Nepal, is situated on the Tibetan plateau. Ladakh has many Tibetan refugees who fled Tibet with the invasion from China. The daunting height of the Himalaya adds to its isolation, even today the main road routes to Ladakh remain closed for more than six months of each year. Until 1979, there were no regular civilian flights into Ladakh so from October to June the region was completely cut off.
Today, it is full of amazing sights - strange gompas perched on soaring hilltops, dwarfed by snow capped mountains, the barren shattered looking landscapes splashed with small, brilliant patches of green and ancient palaces clinging to sheer rock walls. But most of all it is notable for its delightful people - friendly as only Tibetans can be and immensely colorful.
One of the most popular trek in Ladakh – it is a perfect combination of beautiful transhimalayan landscape with ladakhi villages. There are good chances to spot some high altitude wildlife.

DEOTIBBA BASE CAMP & HAMPTA PASS TREK - 11 days & Spectacular view od Deotibba at 6005m

The Kullu valley is justifiably considered one of the most picturesque valleys in the West Himalaya. It is practically enclosed by snow capped mountain ranges that give way to alpine meadows and conifer forests. At lower elevations, orchards, cornfields and rice paddies merge with an assortment of villages that stretch along the course of Beas river. Despite its proximity to Manali, Deotibba Base Camp is one of the less popular routes. This route has some easy to moderate days and is full of panoramic views along thick forests and alpine plateau to the base of Deo Tibba. The sense of isolation and the spectacular views of Deo Tibba at the head of the valley make this a great option.

ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK - 14 days of pure easy trekking.

This trek in the Annapurna sanctuary in Nepal is one of the world’s finest treks, taking us through scenic villages, rich oak, bamboo and rhododendron forests and is a great introduction to the joys of high altitude trekking. We climb steadily through beautiful villages with neatly terraced rice fields enjoying several days of pleasant ridge walking through a mix of abundant forest and scattered fields, with spectacular views of the majestic Annapurna range throughout. Finally, we leave the last of the
bamboo and rhododendron woodland behind and enter the narrow valley leading up to the world of snow and ice. The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) lies in an impressive natural amphitheatre surrounded by several 7000m + peaks. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is an excellent introduction to trekking, as the altitude is relatively moderate and the trails are good. The itinerary is designed to provide a steady rate of acclimatisation, as well as the best views of the mountains as we trek through the sanctuary.

CHOPTA CHANDRASHILLA TREK- 04 Days of beauty in the Himalayas.

This trek is probably the best short trek in the Himalayas. Easily accessible from Delhi, it offers spectacular views of the snow capped mountains all throughout the trek. There is
beautiful camping by the lake of Devariyatal where on a clear day one can see a perfect reflection of Mt Chaukhamba. The forest walk from the Devariyatal lake to Chopta is completely pristine and the climb up to the summit of Chandrashilla is short but challenging. One gets a complete 360 degree view of the mountains from the summit, with snow caps rising next to each other on the north and lesser mountains rolling one behind the other to the plains on the south. This is a great family trek as the long walk on Day 2 is completely optional. People can
skip the long hike by walking down to the road at Sari & driving to the campsite of Chopta. The hike up to the summit of Chandrashilla is optional again as one can choose
to lie back at the campsite with the views of mighty Himalayas right infront. On the other hand people who want to challenge themselves will always have more than enough
opportunities to do it.

DODITAL HANUMAN CHATTI TREK - 6 days of nature

This is a classic trek for first ‐ timers keen to discover the outdoors and experience the mighty Himalayas at high altitude. High up, beyond the valley of the Bhagirathi River, is the pristine and tranquil Dodital (tal means lake in Hindi). Beyond lies the Darwa Pass (3810m) between the major river valleys of th eGanga and the Yamuna. A little further
up from the pass is Darwa Top(4110m), the highest point in the area from where it seems as though the mighty Bandarpunch, Swargarohini and other peaks are close
enough to be touched by an outreached hand. The trek to the pass and beyond is the traditional route used by Gujjars (nomadic herdsmen), who take their cattle upto the
meadows for grazing and also by sadhus (holymen) walking between the temples of Gangotri and Yamunotri.

KUARI PASS TREK - 8 Days of pure Himalayan beauty

Kuari Passis probably the best window to view the high Himalayan peaks. The views
are simply breathtaking. Facing North, the vision sweeps from the gorges of Trishulin
the east to the peaks of Kedarnath in the west ‐ the Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Nilkantha,
Kamet, Gauri Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Nandadevi, Bethartoli, Dunagiri – (all high 6000m or 7000m peaks) are lined one after the other in a magnificent arc. Southwards the
foothills stretch wave upon wave to the dim haze of the distant plains. The area is dotted with few remote villages where one also gets good insights into the local life.

Multiactivity Trek in Ladakh - 07 days of pure beauty in the lap of nature

Ladakh is the eastern-most extension of the Tibetan plateau and is rightly called “the little
Tibet”. With an average altitude of more than 3,000m, Ladakh’s inaccessibility and harsh
environment has ensured that its unique character has been preserved for centuries and the
region is one of the last remaining abodes of Tibetan Buddhism.
This holiday offers a good mix of adventure activities possible around Leh, the capital of
Ladakh. Combined with an overnight trek staying at a Ladakhi home stay for a night we have
an exciting rafting trip on the Zanskar river and a biking trip in picturesque environs of the
Stok village. We would also be visiting the famous Shey Palace & the Thiksey monasteries
which every tourist visiting Ladakh does
