The concept of Astroport was developed by Mr. Sachin Bahmba, CMD and Founder of SPACE group of companies. With over 19 years of experience in developing businesses in Astronomy Niche, Mr. Bahmba has been awarded with STEM Entrepreneur of the year 2018. Astroports are the first concept based unique tourism destinations in India focusing on experiential learning. The strategically designed serene sites are located in the nature’s lap far away from the polluted cities with a heavy twinkling sky above. They are located near popular tourist attractions to ensure mesmerising experience of amusement, adventure & exposure in Astronomy learning and thus, making it a must visit place for all ages/categories of travellers. Astroports are built to provide not only the comforts and facilities of a ‘conventional’ tourist destination but also lead to exploring and learning through well researched and well-presented programs/activities.

We offer different program segments: 1. AAA - Astroport Adventure Activities: for people staying at Astroports (FITs etc) 2. AEX - Astroport Experience Workshops: for people staying near Astroports who can come for Astronomy activities without staying at Astroports. 3. AEC - Astroport Education Camps: for school and college students, Groups(corporates)etc

Centre for Socio-Economic Development Astroports have proven to become a centre for socio-economic development providing employment, resources, technology, all kind of utilities and empowering opportunities to the people of the region due to their locations. Astroports are built in areas which has no/less light pollution and thus these locations have less access to all resources. When an Astroport is built in such a location, it leads to development of entire region and provide employment and development for the people of the region. Astroports in its larger view also aims at creating entrepreneurs in the field of astronomy. Astroports are fully equipped to execute astronomy training and provide certifications that can be used later to earn a livelihood. Astronomy Research/ Training Facility At Astroport, the young amateur astronomers have access to all the necessary facilities and equipment such as observatory, telescopes, star charts, cameras, etc that are required for basic camp intermediary astronomical research. Interested people can apply and become members of Astronomica Club and avail access to the facility with timely information on special events.
