Ezekiel House is a 17th-century Jewish merchant residence preserved in its original layout. Inside, the character of the home is held in the simple details - the restored high ceilings, thick masonry walls, and the original wooden flooring that has anchored these rooms for generations.

At the center sits the traditional courtyard, a space built for light and air that reflects how families lived here centuries ago. To map the context of the street, the house includes a library of Jewish-Indian history where collections are continually being added.

These interiors come from a real place, not a reference - from the restored high ceilings and original wall cupboards in Ezekiel House to the authentic terracotta floors of A.B. Salem House that date back to its construction.

It is the kind of space you understand better after a day or two inside. You can already see it in the doorbells at the entrance that remind you this is still a residence, and soon, you’ll be able to dive deeper into that heritage through a dedicated library of Jewish-Indian history we are currently curating.
