The reason is : before we arrived and established Gangtok View Camping, this land, these forests, and this peaceful environment belonged to its true residents—the birds, butterflies, and countless other creatures of the jungle.
We are merely guests in their home.
That's why you won't find booming party speakers, blinding disco lights, or noise that disturbs the natural rhythm of this place. We choose to keep our impact on nature as minimal as possible, so that these innocent and beautiful birds can continue to sing, nest, and thrive.
Here, your lullaby is not loud music. It is the gentle melody of a natural mountain stream flowing through the forest, the chorus of crickets, and the first songs of Himalayan birds greeting the dawn.
And when morning arrives, you may be greeted by some of the Eastern Himalayas' most beautiful and increasingly uncommon forest birds, such as the Long-tailed (Rufous-backed) Shrike, Himalayan Cutia, Bronzed Drongo, Grey-hooded Warbler, and many more species that still call this forest their home.
Our campsite is not built for noise. It is built for silence, stars, birdsong, and meaningful connections with nature.
You will also discover the rich flora of the Eastern Himalayas—wild orchids, rhododendrons, magnolias, primulas, Himalayan lilies, ferns, mosses, and countless seasonal wildflowers that paint our forests with color throughout the year.
If you seek loud parties, there are many places for that.
