Completion of 5 to 10-Day PMEGP–EDP Training Programme at SBI RSETI, Gangtok on 15/02/2026.

SBI RSETI, Gangtok successfully completed the 5 to 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under PMEGP for aspiring 41 beneficiaries today. The programme was designed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial knowledge, business management skills, financial literacy, and practical guidance required for establishing and sustaining their own enterprises.

The recently conducted visit of Shri G. Murali Rao, State Director (SDR), along with Shri K. K. Meena, Director, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Gangtok, and other officials, further motivated the trainees. During their interaction, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of effectively applying the learning from the EDP training in establishing and managing sustainable business ventures. They advised the participants to uphold discipline, commitment, and integrity in both their professional and personal lives as responsible entrepreneurs.

The 10-day training programme focused on developing entrepreneurial competencies, project preparation, market understanding, banking procedures, and confidence-building among the participants to ensure successful implementation of their PMEGP projects.

On behalf of SBI RSETI, Gangtok, the Director and staff congratulated all participants for courageously choosing the path of entrepreneurship. The institution extended its heartfelt best wishes for their future endeavours and expressed confidence that these budding entrepreneurs will contribute positively towards self-employment generation, economic empowerment, and national development.

Shri G. Murali Rao, State Director (SDR), visited SBI RSETI, Gangtok on 13th February. The visit was further graced by the presence of Shri K. K. Meena, Director, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Gangtok, along with other officials.

During the visit, the dignitaries interacted with the ongoing PMEGP–EDP training batch and reviewed the progress of the programme. They held a constructive interaction with the trainees and encouraged them to effectively utilize the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills gained during the 5–10 days of Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training.

The officials emphasized the importance of applying the learning in establishing and managing sustainable business ventures, while also maintaining discipline, commitment, and integrity in personal and professional life.

The trainees were congratulated for choosing the path of entrepreneurship and were extended best wishes for their future endeavours. The visiting dignitaries expressed confidence that the budding entrepreneurs would contribute positively towards self-employment generation and national development.

The visit was motivating and beneficial for the trainees as well as the institution.
