BeachBox Hotel is a concept hotel born out of a desire to do something different, to leave a mark without making an impact on the environment, forced us to look beyond the obvious brick and mortar options.We salvaged and redesigned scrap components to compose everything- from a property’s mainframe architecture to its most minute decorative details. This chain of high-quality living spaces promote an uncompromising brand of stylish, sustainable and affordable tourism in India. While some hotel chains recognized for sustainability measures include reused materials in 30% of their construction, The Box Hotels employ as much as 72% - leaving a carbon footprint that is less than half the industry record.
Shipping containers, from which the hotel gets its name, are a signature, multi-purpose feature. Painted cardinal red and overlaid with original artwork, these metal vessels are converted into 15 bedrooms, an in-ground swimming pool, bar and upper-deck restaurant. Dismantled bicycle parts are fashioned into wall art and balcony railings. Salvaged industrial pipes form the clawed spine of bar stools and chairs with seats canvassed by rubber tires. And, old rum bottles are platooned to create dim lit chandeliers.The container rooms are carefully oriented to limit direct sunlight exposure, and thus, curb cooling costs. A litany of other operational hacks silo significant cost-savings, which generously filter down to the customer; creating a uniquely memorable boarding experience at notably competitive rates.
Being the first of its kind, The Beach Box Hotel, Baga is a micro hotel concept that combines thoughtful customizations to suit a typical Goan holiday. The in-house restaurant features a selective menu of indulgent comfort foods like the ghost pepper beef burger and finely crafted cocktails like the pomegranate basil martini infused with premium Russian vodka.
