Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Sarmindar Phangcho and Mr. Monchu Eh Tokbi on being elected as Monitor and Assistant Monitor, respectively, for the session 2026–2027.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Songsar Bey (Former Monitor), Mr. Harlongbi Teron ( Former Assistant Monitor), and Mr. Samwel Ronghang (Vice President, GGKSA) for their dedicated efforts in conducting the hostel election smoothly, fairly, and successfully.

Best wishes to both the newly elected hostel authorities of the Karbi Students Boys' Hostel, Guwahati for the session 2026–2027. On the occasion of World Environment Day (5th June 2026), KSBH organized a tree plantation programme within its premises to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

The programme was followed by a volleyball match in the evening. After a competitive and spirited game, Team A emerged as the champions.

The event was successfully conducted, reflecting our commitment to environmental conservation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The Freshers’ Cum Get-Together 2026 was successfully conducted on 21st March 2026 for the academic session 2025–26.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Joysing Rongphar (MVI), and Guest of Honour, Mr. Borish Engjai (Assistant Section Officer), along with the executive members of GGKSA and all invited guests, for gracing the occasion with their esteemed presence.

We also sincerely thank everyone for their participation and support in making the event a grand success.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Hon’ble Chief Executive Member, Dr.Tuliram Ronghang, KAAC, for his prompt intervention in addressing and resolving the issues faced by the Karbi Students’ Boys’ Hostel, Guwahati.

We also express our profound gratitude to Mr. Robert Timung, Manager of Karbi Hemtun, and Mr. Andrew Teron, for their invaluable support and assistance during this challenging period.

The hostel has now been upgraded to a first-class standard with the introduction of several new facilities, including:

1.Upgraded wardrobes for residents

2.Renovated bathrooms and toilets,
including new basins

3.Tiled flooring and corridors

4.Fixed pipelines and a new Syntex watertank

5.A fully revamped kitchen with proper food storage facilities

6.Enhancements to the hostel library, including new bookshelves and a dedicated study table with chairs for students

7.Renovation of a new first-floor building housing the GGKSA office, a guest room, a conference hall, and additional toilets

These collective efforts have brought immense relief, comfort, and satisfaction to all residents of the hostel. We remain deeply grateful for the commitment and dedication shown towards the welfare of the students.
