In any given occasion, there will always be people who exerted so much effort for its success. An event cannot be successful without people who devote their time and resources just to make sure everything is perfect.
We wanted to thank all of the people who made Joyanta Kalita Memorial Inter-College Cricket tournament a success. We know what a huge effort it took to make this tournament so great. We had so much fun from the beginning till the end.
We would like to extend special thanks to our seniors, batch mates and lively juniors for making this event a memorable one. Thank you! 👍

Past and present Boarders of SNBC Hostel, Cotton University, has planned to organize an Inter-College Cricket Tournament to commemorate the memory of Joyanta Kalita, an ex-boarder of SNBC Hostel.

Originally hailing from Amguri, Sivasagar, Joyanta had shown promising academic abilities. After completing his 10th and 10+2 Board examinations with flying colors, he joined as an Honours student in the Department of Physics, Cotton College. Joyanta Kalita was a brilliant student and a promising student leader in the then Cotton College, presently Cotton University. Joyanta was the elected General Secretary of Cotton College Student Union, 2008-09. Unfortunately, Joyanta met with an unexpected death in the year 2016.

We, the present and past boarders of SNBC hostel, Cotton University have decided to organize Joyanta Kalita Memorial Inter-College Cricket Tournament to commemorate the memory of our beloved friend and leader Joyanta, who is no more with us. The tournament will be played with Tennis Ball (soft tennis), and teams from all the colleges and universities in Guwahati and its vicinity will be invited to join.

Date- 24 & 25 February, 2020

Dear seniors, juniors and friends,

We are happy to inform you that the bank account for the cause of SNBC (New hostel) reunion has been created at last. We are considering this as a Major step towards the fruition of the event we so eagerly look forward to organize. Now comes another crucial part of this endeavor - organizing funds for the event. As the bank account gives a reliable address for financial transactions, we believe it will greatly enhance the fundraising activities. Therefore, it is a passionate plea to every one of you to heartily contribute as every contribution would take us nearer to realize our goal of conducting a successful hostel reunion.
