Uramma Heritage Homes

Uramma Heritage Homes Heritage Homestays in the historical village of Anegundi, Hampi World Heritage Site, Karnataka, South India Uramma Heritage Homes were set up in 2012.

Our vision, as always, was to restore and create beautiful heritage properties that are rooted in the unique architectural traditions of the region and yet would provide a high standard of modern comfort for a global audience. Our properties are located in the historic settlement of Anegundi, which dates back to the 8th century and is a significant landmark in the Hampi World Heritage Site. Our br

and, Uramma, has been named in homage to the village goddess and guardian Uramma. These properties provide a unique combination of rural hospitality and modern amenities. Guests may enjoy and experience the local customs and way of life of the Anegundi settlement.

OLD DOORS FOR THE NEW. Shama Pawar, at an Anegundi building site where a traditional structure is being remodelled to be used as an artist’s studio, with all the necessary amenities. Like we do with all our heritage restoration projects, we retain the original structure and features as much as is practical.

A striking feature here is doors restored from traditional buildings in nearby Kanakagiri, adding to this studio’s revitalised heritage.
