1) What is satellite meteorology?
A) Satellite meteorology is one of the branches of Atmospheric science (Meteorology) which studies the Atmosphere by using satellites.
2) Does satellite meteorology deals with making satellites?
A) No. Satellite Meteorology doesn’t deals with making satellites. Satellite meteorologists make the algorithms for weather satellites, use satellites to forecast the weather and to understand the atmosphere.
3) What is the duration of the M.sc satellite meteorology course?
A) Duration of the course is 2 years (4 semesters).
4) Does JNTUH offer this course in distance education mode?
A) No. JNTUH doesn’t offer this course in distance mode.
5) What is the fee structure for this M.sc course?
A) Admitted students need to pay 15,000 rupees per semester.
Eligible SC, ST, OBC, EBC students can avail fee reimbursement and scholarship (10,000 rupees per semester + scholarship)
6) Does JNTUH provide hostel facility for the students?
A) Yes. JNTUH provide hostel facility for M.sc students.
7) What are the future opportunities for the students?
A) A successful candidate either can do PhD or apply for scientist or research positions in various research organizations.
