Walkway to Nahargarh Fort-
If you love to walk to explore places around town, Jaipur offers many trekking opportunities. One little trek up to the grand 18th century fort on the hilltop that offers a breathtaking view of the entire city of Jaipur is the long, winding road that leads up to the Nahargarh Fort. Built during the days of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century, this road was frequently used by the caretakers of the fort to make sure that the fort does not run out of supplies. The road ends at the back gate of Nahargarh Fort. While Nahargarh fort in Jaipur overlooks the skyline by daylight hours, the fort creates a spectacular view when floodlit nocturnally. Early morning before the sunrise is the ideal time to start the climb.
