One of the oldest houses in a quiet residential colony in the heart of the city, Kailrugji was built by Shrimati Kailash Kanwar at a time when her husband was away fighting the 1965 Indo-Pak war. While Kail was receiving kudos for the house she was building with her younger son Narendra, at that time 15 years old, to help: Brigadier Raghubir Singh MVC or Rugji was involved in one of the fiercest f

ights of the war in a village called Asal Uttar in Punjab. Rugji was awarded the very first Mahaveer Chakra of the Jaipur State and the title " Saviour of Punjab" in his role in this battle. Till Kail was alive, the house resounded with happy sounds of family get-togethers and children running around. The mouth watering smell of her cooking used to float through the house bringing people to the kitchen. Her children and grandchildren, in an attempt to keep the Kail and Rugji spirit of hospitality alive, have converted their home into a hotel ... Every room has a story to tell and a past that can be felt.
