From India’s First Choice to a Silent Story in the Desert

Once known as India’s most loved car, the Tata Indica wasn’t just a vehicle — it was a revolution. For countless families, it was their first car, a symbol of pride, journeys, and new beginnings.

Today, this same Indica rests quietly in the vast Thar desert, abandoned in a farmer’s field. Time, wind, and sand have taken over, turning it into a story frozen in silence — a contrast between its glorious past and its present solitude.

Under the infinite desert sky and the glowing Milky Way, this frame captures more than just a car — it captures nostalgia, time, and the raw beauty of nature reclaiming everything.

This image was carefully composed in the dark skies of the Thar desert. A vertical 9:16 frame was used to align the car and tree with the Milky Way core. Multiple exposures were blended — one for the foreground (car and tree) and another for the sky to capture the rich details of the Milky Way. Subtle lighting was used to highlight the car naturally while maintaining the authentic night feel.

The Winter Migration Birding Season in the majestic Desert National Park officially concludes today, 15th March.

What an incredible journey it has been.
From the Passage Migration (August – October) to the Winter Migration Season (15th October – 15th March),

the desert came alive with thousands of migratory birds, breathtaking sightings, and unforgettable moments in nature.
During this season,

Godawan Garh Homestay had the privilege of hosting 453 Indian guests and 62 international visitors — passionate bird photographers, birders, and nature lovers who travelled from across the world to experience the magic of the Thar Desert.
Our Godawan Garh Team worked with dedication and passion to ensure the best possible birding experience and memorable sightings for every guest.
