Gadisar lake - oasis in the heart of thar desert!
Back in the middle ages, there were no canals or irrigation system or other scientific methods to bring water to the arid regions of Rajasthan, keeping in mind the need of his people this reservoir was originally built by founder of Jaisalmer King Shri Rawal Jaisal ji and later rebuilt by Shri Maharwal Gadsi Singh ji. Located close to the fort of Jaisalmer, Gadisar Lake offers scenic and picturesque views.
