Jammu’s famous bathing ghat ; Har Ki Pauri; is a modern day temple built on the banks of river Tawi. Huge number of devotees nowadays throngs the temple due to its magnificent idols. The temple complex is divided into three sections. The first section has huge idol of Lord Ganesha and a shrine of Chamunda Devi. At Aap Shambhu Temple Roop Nagar, Jammu where Lord Shiva appears as self-manifested Shiv Linga. As per the legend recorded in the book published by Pujari Dwarka Nath Jogi, this place was an uninhabited jungle. Cows and buffaloes used to shed entire milk on the lingam. Balidan Stambh’ means ‘Tower of Sacrifice’. It was constructed in 2008 in memory of Defense, paramilitary and Police personnel who sacrificed their lives for the nation on the soil of Jammu & Kashmir. The memorial comprises of 60m high tower which symbolizes a bayoneted rifle. At the base of the tower is an internal flame, a timeless commemoration of the supreme sacrifice made by our brave martyrs.
