Suryagarh is a period Haveli,which was constructed during British rule. Jodhpur,then was ruled by Rathore dynasty,who were great sports lover and the royal game of that time was horse polo.It was sometimes during that era,delighted at the performance of the team,the rulers awarded huge colonies to the players near the polo playing grounds.That is how the seven identical Havelies(call it 'old villas'or' garhs')were built in European-Rajput-Mugal style of architecture.
