Through the monsoon, Gir has grown green and full. The animals that spent the season unseen begin to come out.

If you come in October, you meet Gir before the rest of the season does. The trails are fresh, and the air keeps the coolness of the rains. The grass stands tall, and the morning light comes through leaves. With an Aramness naturalist beside you, the forest comes alive: Asiatic lions on fresh trails, leopards in the teak, herds of spotted deer and sambar, nilgai, and crocodiles at Kamleshwar, crested serpent eagles circling overhead.

Come and see for youself. The park opens 16 October.

Gir is the last wild home of the Asiatic lions, and seeing one here stays with you. But the lions are only part of the story. The Maldharis have lived beside these lions for generations. People and predators share the land here through patience and respect, and they’ve been doing it for a very long time.

This World Tourism Day, we at Aramness invite you to see Gir that way. Listen to a Maldhari’s stories. Watch the forest wake at dawn. The lions will take your breath away. But, the coexistence will change how you see the world.

Five years ago, Aramness opened its doors into the heart of Gir. An idea built by people.

The ones who guide you at dawn. Who protect the forest. Who turn every experience into an unforgettable memory. And we brought the same people: our chefs and our team to create that very magic for an evening in Mumbai, in true Aramness style. The food, the fragrance, and the smallest details that make Aramness what it is.

Wildlife and local communities always come first. Warmth is non-negotiable. Hospitality lies in the smallest acts of attention and care.

This was chapter one, taking a bow. Chapter two now begins.

Last night, Aramness came to Mumbai. We gathered journalists, tastemakers, old friends of Aramness, and a few new ones, along with our team for an evening we’ve been looking forward to for a while.

We brought a little of Gir into Kathiwada City House : the thali, the textures, for an evening in true Aramness style.

Our founder Jimmy Patel opened the evening by saying something we believe deeply: Gir was never meant to be the whole story. It was chapter one. What we set out to prove is that hospitality and wilderness don’t have to compete. And this is only possible in partnership with the local communities who’ve protected these landscapes for generations.

Thank you to Strategia for bringing this evening together. To everyone who joined us, and to everyone who’s trusted us. And to our team, who build all of this, long before any of you ever see it.

Here’s to the next chapter. There’s a lot more coming.

Right now, the park is closed. The monsoon is turning the forest verdant. It’s a season of renewal. But soon, the gates will open again. The Asiatic lions will be waiting, along with the many other species that call this wilderness home.

A safari in Gir is unlike anywhere else, and with an Aramness naturalist by your side, you’ll see this forest in a whole new way. Thank you for the love and support you’ve shown to Gir’s lions and conservation. We can’t wait to welcome you back this October. And we’ve got some EXCITING NEWS coming very soon!
