Here, in the quiet rhythms of Gir, every meal begins long before it reaches the table. It begins in our Edible Garden just beyond your kothi, in the orchards, in the hands of those who have tended this earth for generations.

Whether you are seated in the open courtyard as the forest breathes around you, or tucked into our garden-to-table picnic under the shade of a pavilion, the feeling is the same: this is food as wellness. The kind that restores you. The kind that reminds you what it feels like to slow down, to share, and to be genuinely nourished.

There’s something about seeing a forest through someone else’s eyes, especially someone who’s spent years falling deeper in love with it. You notice more. You slow down. You leave knowing the forest in a way no guidebook could teach you.

Our naturalist has a gift, not just for spotting the Asiatic lions (because there’s so much more to Gir), but for making you feel the forest the way she does.

In the last frame: Kamaxi’s little drawing on the coat patterns of wild cats, one of the many illustrations she loves sharing with our guests on a safari.

Come, book a safari and let our naturalists show you Gir like never before.

From January to March, when the forest has dropped its leaves and turned brown, the Flame of the Forest does something incredible. It covers itself in blazing orange-vermillion flowers on completely bare branches.

Also known by names: Palash. Dhak. Tesu.

Now here’s the interesting part: The Palash doesn’t give up its nectar easily. It hides it deep inside parrot-shaped petals. Only the Purple Sunbird has the right beak to unlock it, landing on the flower, triggering the petals apart, getting dusted with pollen in exchange.

So, the next time on your safari in Gir, look up, watch the sunbirds at work. This tree has been putting on a show for thousands of years.

Wellness, Unhurried. Unscripted. Yours.

Nature doesn’t need algorithms. It just needs us to slow down and notice.

Watch a rose-ringed parakeet arrive at a Kachnar (orchid tree) bloom. They attack flowers with theatrical intensity. The scattered petals become a natural carpet that locks in moisture and feeds the soil. And the tree offers abundant nectar during the parakeets’ breeding season, exactly when they need energy most.

Our guests often stumble upon these moments during their morning walks through our gardens.

At Aramness, architecture becomes poetry. Each kothi tells its own quiet story. Step into your private sanctuary and discover how thoughtfully heritage can embrace modernity.

This is more than a luxury retreat. It’s a place where design doesn’t shout for attention but whispers stories of where you are, inviting you to slow down and truly see.

At Aramness, we’ve never seen ourselves as simply a safari lodge. We’re a place where every guest becomes part of something deeper.

Your vote could help us win the 2027 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence. But this means so much more than an accolade. It’s an affirmation of the vision we’re nurturing together, where wilderness and wellness come together, where Gir’s untamed magic is treasured and safeguarded. If this vision has touched you, we would be deeply honoured by your support.

Voting takes just a moment - simply follow the link in our bio.

At Aramness, families rediscover what matters most: being fully present with each other and with the natural world around them.

Because the greatest gift we can offer kids isn’t found in stores or on screens. It’s to love this living, breathing earth, and to show them that they’re part of something wonderfully wild.

There’s a magic to Aramness right now that can’t be captured in words alone. The air is thick with the scent of blooms, the surroundings overflow with winter flowers in full glory, and our Edible Garden is alive with the season’s bounty.

Come, experience the magic.
