We went to Mahoba to get some bamboo for future projects. Mahoba is a city located about 75 km from Khajuraho and it‘s known for its bamboo market.

We‘ll show you what we’re going to do with the bamboo after our summer break. It’s too hot to work in the sun during the day for the next two months.

If you’re interested to volunteer at our place in Khajuraho you can contact us. From July there will be possibilities.

A big thank you to our most loyal travel group 🙏🏾
During their last stay with us in our Hotel Aarambh Residency in Khajuraho, the Jokers had the wonderful experience of an authentic cooking class with a local family. There was plenty of laughter and chatting. And the breakfast we shared together—which included our special Karuna porridge (s. last picture)—was a real treat 😋

They came as strangers, but left as friends. With their pure, honest, and genuine presence, they helped out wherever they could and supported us even during difficult times.

Sometimes we need to pause, take a break, breathe deeply, and look back on what has brought us to this moment. All those small steps that gently lead us toward a goal. Yes, with a lot of money, you can often get things done quickly. But do you then feel the passion, the energy, the battles fought, the sacrifices made that lie behind a project? Perhaps, but certainly not as intensely.
Here’s a look back. The development of our hotel Aarambh Residency from 2022 to the present day, 2026.
A sincere thank you to all our true friends who were part of this journey and supported us along the way. A thank you to all our guests. We are grateful for the encounters and friendships we have had the privilege of making over the years.

There are many different ways to travel to Khajuraho. Many travellers to India follow the Golden Triangle when touring northern India . This is a well-known tourist route between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Varanasi (Kashi) is also very well known and popular. Did you know that Khajuraho is actually quite conveniently located between these cities? 🤗
In the slides, we have compiled a brief overview of the easiest connections from Delhi, Varanasi and Jaipur to Khajuraho. The most commonly used modes of transport are train, bus or plane, so we have limited ourselves to these. 🚅🚎✈️
Of course, there are many more options, e.g. hiring a private driver, renting a motorbike or car, travelling by bicycle 🤪...
Flying is, of course, the least sustainable option. And let’s be honest, it’s also the most boring. Using public transport gives you a deeper insight into the country and its culture. You can make your first acquaintances and admire the landscape (in daylight). Our overview does not cover all the travel options by any means. If you have time and a thirst for adventure, you can of course also take routes via the surrounding towns of Khajuraho.

If you have travelled through India, you will certainly have come across the Neem Tree 🌿
Neem is said to have many health-promoting properties and is particularly important in rural areas.
That’s why this tree is also known as „village pharmacy“ in India.

But did you know that Neem is also used for dental care in India? 🦷
Since the days of Vedic civilisation, people have used neem to prevent tooth decay, heal gum inflammation, eliminate bad breath and treat infections of the oral cavity.
In rural areas, you can still see older people using the twigs of the Neem as natural toothbrush - the so called „Datun“. 🪥🌿

Next time you come across a Neem Tree, just try it for yourself. Our Tauji in the video is showing you how to do it correctly. 👨🏾‍🏫It’s not that difficult. The only challenge might be reaching the branches 😁
