ANNOUNCEMENT

Three months ago we began shipping our Soundsystem & in-house event production from Europe to its winter home in Rajasthan. One month ago we were informed that due to the ongoing troubles in the Red Sea our shipment was delayed meaning it would not be reaching us in time. At great extra expense we managed to find a temporary fix and we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to get our delivery here as soon as possible. Unfortunately this week we have received the very saddening news that this will not be possible. Looking at budgeting to rent the equipment here necessary to carry on with the planned events for the remainder of our residency is unfortunately not possible.

Alas with no tenable alternative available we have been forced to make the very tough decision to cancel the rest of our events here at Khejarla Fort as not to do so would jeopardise our long term plans for this project.

All our event ticket holders will receive an automatic refund. We will be keeping the Fort Life open until the end of February without the events portion of our offering and all hotel bookings for this period remain valid for anyone still wishing to come and stay with us.

We will be reaching out to all our hotel bookings individually to offer a full refund should this be the preferred option. We thank you for your patience as we work our way through these as fast as we can.

As we are sure you can imagine this decision has not been taken lightly and we have tried all other avenues to find a workable solution.

The Fort Life Events are a safe, inclusive space for everyone.

All forms of sexism / racism / homophobia / transphobia / any other prejudiced behaviour will not be tolerated. Violence / intimidation / unsolicited advances / unprovoked touching / consuming & distributing narcotics are strictly prohibited and any persons engaging in these will be removed from the event immediately.

If you experience or witness any such behaviour please report it immediately to any of the Fort Life team or at reception.

As we get closer and closer to our opening celebrations its time to tell you a little more about how we will wrap up each of our 9 weekend events.

Rounding off each week we are proud to present Lazy Thali Sundays. A poolside affair starting at 11am with local Rajasthani musicians playing a mix of traditional and contemporary sounds for what is sure to be a highlight of our musical calendar.

As the day heats up a selection of the weekend’s headliners will play special laidback poolside sets to soothe the mind, body and souls of our weekend visitors. This presents a very rare and exclusive opportunity to see some of your favourite DJs playing a very different set to their usual touring performances and we can’t wait to hear what they have in store for us. The musical proceedings will be hosted by our weekly residents . The pair know a thing or two about a poolside shindig having presided over the ever popular Pikes On Sundays at the infamous Ibiza hotel for the last ten years. A melting pot of music and mischief for the intrepid traveller!

As the name suggests, a bottomless Thali selection will be served from 13:00 onwards. A delectable mix of delicious bites and pieces all designed and created by The Fort Life Culinary Director Chef Vishal. Drinks and cocktails come from our resident mixologist Gagan to ensure all your tastebuds are suitably satisfied!

Drinking and dining by the pool while your favourite DJs play especially created sets within the regal walls of a centuries old Rajasthani fort, what better way to end your stay?!

Join us in the heart of Rajasthan every weekend this February and March. Laid-back poolside sessions segue into ambient sunset jams, followed by late-night dancing beneath the moon and stars courtesy of an all-star cast of esteemed Indian and international artists. Music to move your feet and soothe your souls!

Roll up, roll up, our events packages are now live!

For each of the 9 weekends of February and March we up the tempo at The Fort Life as we extend our poolside afternoons and invite you to stay and dance with us under the moon and stars across 3 bespoke dancefloors continuing the party into the small hours of Friday and Saturday nights. Lazy Thali Sundays round off each weekend; a poolside affair starting at 11am with local Rajasthani musicians playing a mix of traditional and contemporary sounds before handing over to our weekend headliners for special laid back, soul soothing sets. As the name suggests, a bottomless Thali selection will be served from 13:00 onwards; the perfect way to end your stay!

Over the course of these nine weekends, a mix of regional and international artists come together to present a musical programme unlike anything else in Rajasthan. Highlights include inspiring performers from New Delhi and further afield, such as the ascendent Sijya and Qilla Records artist Vridian. There’s also Killzen, Girls Night Out, Kaleekarma, Maddeof, FILM, DEF, K-Block and resident artist DJ MOCITY.

International highlights include Midland, Crazy P Soundsystem and Man Power who curates his Me Me Me weekender featuring Ewan McVicar and new BBC Radio 1 signing LaLa among many others. Lovefingers and Heidi Lawden bring the ESP Institute to India for the first time, while NTS presenters Ruf Dug, Ellie Stokes and Debonair play poolside and club sets. James Zabiela joins The Fort Life Family as does Hotflush label founder Scuba. Manchester party starters Smokin Jo, Guy Williams and Justin Robertson plus Faith founder Stuart Patterson all make appearances. Key Ratio brings his unique take on breaks ‘n’ beats, and jazz, funk and soul power duo Chris Goss and Dom Servini celebrate 25 years of Wah Wah 45s. Plus loads, loads more!

All our tickets are now live on our website along with weekend hotel packages which include entrance to all our events.

Each of our 44 luxuriously appointed suites, rooms and chambers celebrates The Fort’s regal heritage while blending opulent Rajasthani style and exquisite architecture with all the creature comforts a discerning modern traveller could wish for.

However, there can be only one queen within a royal lineage and thus within The Fort, there is only one Queen’s Suite!

Our most exclusive and unique dwelling, this palatial setting boasts an ornate, hand-carved wooden four-poster bed, a lavish bathroom, an elegant chaise lounge and an opulent private sitting room for entertaining plus gilded, hand-painted domed ceilings.
