place. Seagull is not just a building, which provides you food and drink, but this is a place which
gives you a complete dining experience. The hotel stands is a gracious
landmark of the city, showcasing c

ontemporary Indian influences along
with the country’s colonial past. The Hotel Seagull, which we see today, was the brain child of sri V S
Krishnan,who was a musician cm businessman. This Hotel was once a
residence-cum-furniture maintenance
workshop of a French-rosewood exporter named C J Revel, whose business, house
and factories were based at Thalaserry. The main structure of this Hotel was a simple residence and the
adjacent extensions were remodeling and
repairing workshops. Later, krishnan modified this simple residence cm workshop into a
magnificient property named "The Hotel Seagull". Every corridor and modification of this hotel has a history to say and a story to tell. Travelers with a yen for history and heritage will find Seagull and
Fort Kochi engrossing. Over the years, the building stood as a silent witness to the passage
of time and the creation of history. The Portuguese, the Dutch, French
and the British came and went. The country freed itself and embraced
democracy and the ownership of this grand edifice changed hands. Today, it has become a favorite haunt of foreigners. We have taken
every care to present you the rich traditions of a bye gone era along
with the taste of local flavors.
