When you are driving Rafa into the remoteness of the Eastern most frontier of India you don't need to follow a set plan. Just detour, divert and drop anchor for the night anywhere you want. Here we have early morning breakfast in the midst of a flowing mountain stream after a night well spent in the huts.

Rafa has not just been a travel companion for me. Times when I needed to honour professional commitments in multiple locations on almost 1,500 km round trips from Kolkata and the Vande Bharats/ flights timings/ availability were an issue it was the trusted roads and jungles and rivers and hills over which we needed to traverse... In the end the journey just complimented the job.

It never ever struck my mind that there is an Eastern most point in India (for that matter southern western &northern)... A point where every day the first rays of the Sun will hit India daily, every day.

It was 2016 me in Shillong Airport when I found some promotional displays of
Villages in Eastern most Arunachal Pradesh called D**g snd Kaho. They wee Eastern most points of India where India said good morning before anyone else could.

It came in my bucket list and it was only 2023 that I drove Rafa from Kolkata to the remote God forsaken place to understand the sunlight...
