Snowfall, Strangers, and the Himachali Heart.
Due to recent heavy snowfall in Kullu–Manali, the highways were completely jammed. Many travellers were stuck for hours—sleeping in cars, with no food and no rooms available. Some families with small children couldn’t even reach their booked hotels and homestays.
Last night around 3:00 AM, a group of 13 guests with small kids reached our homestay seeking shelter. Unfortunately, our homestay was already full.
But how could we turn them away in such weather?
We decided to open the doors of our personal home and let them stay with us for the night. In moments like these, hospitality is not about bookings—it’s about humanity.
We request everyone—hoteliers, homestay owners, locals—let’s help each other.
We are Himachali, and this is how we stand together in tough times.
