n it. Cottage is located at the best backwater locations in Kerala. “Relax In Nature’s Luxury” during all seasons including the rainy season, from the porch of the Cottages. Experience Sunset, Moonset and during the rainy season, rain coming from faraway and the maximum breadth and length of beautiful Lake Vembanad is a unique scenery from Cottages. There is no sound or air pollution. Gentle breeze with enhanced oxygen content and purity of air will rejuvenate, tensions and strains will be relieved. Facilities of two bedrooms of the Cottage
This Cottage has two Ac bedrooms, bedrooms have basic comforts and simply furnished. Main bedroom is facing the Lake Vembanad and only 10 meters away from the Lake. Second bedroom is not facing the lake and it is around 20 meters away from the Lake. Each bedroom has an air conditioner, fan, attached bathroom with European closet, shower, hot and cold water, Cable TV and WIFI. Main bedroom facing the lake has Electric Kettle and Steamer. Bedrooms have separate entrances and are also interconnected through middle door which can also be locked from both sides. Therefore, it is a safe cottage, if the guests are coming with their children or old aged people. The area of the bedroom will be 175 and 135 Sq. Feet. Each bed room will have a Queen size bed or 2 single coats and an office table with 2 chairs. Area of bathroom will be around 40 or 50 Sq Feet each. Sit Out / Porch of bedrooms of Cottage
Each bedroom has a sit out to experience Lake Vembanad. Main bedroom’s Sit out with an area of 100 Sq. feet, will have a fan, 4 easy chairs and a teapoy, facing the Lake Vembanad, which is only just 10 meters away from the lake. The second bedroom’s Sit out is with an area of 50 Sq. feet, will have 2 easy chairs and a teapoy, facing the Lake Vembanad with partial view, which is 20 meters away. WIFI signals are strong from the main bedroom’s Sit out. The Sit out and part of the premises are covered on the top, for giving you more comfort, especially during the rainy season and for having your meals under the shade. The total area covered by the sunshade will be around 350 Sq. Drifting of Houseboats, Shikara, Motorboats, Fishermen’s Boats, and Speedboats, and unique fishing of Pearl Spot Fish (Karimeen) can be experienced from the Porch of Cottage. Clean and tidy Premises right in front of the cottage, up to Lake Vembanad, which is only 10 meters from the porch of the cottage. Lawn with buffalo grass and concrete Path is there, up to the edge of the granite boundary wall, between water and the lawn. The free area of the premises in front of the Cottage will be around 750 Sq. You can have your daily walking and exercise in your own premises, just in front of the cottage. We are operating thoroughly as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) before the check in of the guests, during the check in, after the check-in and after the checkout of the guests. Cottages are very good for keeping Social Distance with other guests as it has its own designated area of premises up to the Lake Vembanad. You can have your morning walk or exercise, by taking care of other guests just in front of Cottage. We welcome our inhouse guests and outside guests to experience the unique dining experience by the Lakeside We serve food and soft drinks on the bank of Lake Vembanad, during all seasons, strictly on the basis of advance booking and confirmation. You can occupy in front of the pre-booked space at the lakefront. We serve Kerala Veg Meals, Fish Curry Meals, Tapioca, Chapti, Karimeen Fry, Karimeen Pollichathu, Shrimps, Lobster, Crab, Chicken Biryani, Barbecued Chicken, Tandoori Chicken Etc on the basis of prior order and confirmation. We have an Organic Farm where we have lots of Fruit Trees, such as Papaya, Vertical Farming of Passion Fruits, Spices, Medicinal Plants, Tubers, Trees and Ayurvedic Plants.We have tapioca, papaya etc throughout the year, irrespective of rainy season.We have minimum two dishes on everyday, which is being prepared from the products, from the organic farm. Our farm is around 3 feet above the ground level, we made the farm by constructing a small wall around the farm and filled it with red sand, 8 years back. Therefore we have a live farm always, even it was alive during the time of the great Kerala flood of 2018. Experience: Small Stingless Honey Bee (Meliponiculture)
We have at present 16 colonies of Small Stingless Honey Bee. They are part of biodiversity, these bees are local species, perfectly adapted to the environment. They are the main pollinators and produce incomparable quality honey, strong flavour, slightly acidic. Rabbit and Goose Feeding
It is very interesting to watch the activities of the Rabbits and Goose and also to watch when the Goose is swimming and has a bath in the small pond. You can also feed the Rabbits and Goose by providing them grass and other eatables. Butterflies & Birds at the Property
Lot of different birds and butterflies can be seen in and around the property, you can experience those if you wake up early in the morning. Backwater Cruising
We arrange Cruising in Houseboat, Motorboats, Shikara or in a Speed boat, you can have it from this property itself.you will get the speed boat for hourly rate and all other types of boat will be available for minimum 2 hours. Social Responsibilities
Power and Solar Power
We have a 100 KVA Transformer in our property for meeting our power requirements. We also have a 40 KVA Diesel Cummins Generator for the backup. We have 5 KV Solar Panel (TATA) as further back up for running the fans and lights and 6 Solar Powered Water Heaters (V Guard) with back up, which gives hot water to all the guests. Waste Management
We have a Bio gas Plant to manage our entire food waste, Vermicompost, EM Compost and an incinerator manages complete solid waste of our property. Therefore, our property is clean and tidy. Paid Quarantine Facilities For Returnees
We have allocated our Cottages No 110,111, 210,211 and Rooms No 116,117,118 & 119 for the quarantined stay of returnees outside of Kerala. All other Cottages and Rooms are allocated for providing accommodation to other Guests as per the SOP. Responsible Tourism Initiatives
We provide quarantine facilities basically for local people who have come from other States and other Countries at budget cost. Thus, we minimise negative economic, environmental and social impacts, we generate economic benefits for local people even during this COVID 19 Pandemic and enhances the well-being of host communities. We take responsibility, take action to make tourism more sustainable. No Retrenchment Nor Reduction of Salary During Lockdown
During the present time of Covid 19 pandemic, we haven’t retrenched any of our staff or reduced the salary of any of our staff, We still give them employment and they are comfortable in working with us. During the lockdown period also we have given them full salary. Service to the Community by Providing Institutional Quarantine Facility as per the Standard Operating Procedure of Kerala State Govt & The Guidelines of Central Govt (SOP)
Now we are providing Institutional Quarantine Facilities to Returnees from outside States and from other Countries, We are approved by the Govt of Kerala for this service. We are strictly following the Standard Operating Procedures instructed by the Kerala Govt for dealing with the Quarantined Guests, before the check in, during the check in, after the check in and after the check out. We Are Contributing Our Efforts To Control The Infection, In Our Village
We are also taking the local quarantined guests at much discounted rate to help the ordinary people who are not affluent in our village. Thus we are helping our local community to convey the importance of Self Distancing and helping the local based not affluent returnees for safe quarantine, so that we are helping the community to control the Corona Pandemic.
