The homestay is housed in the newly built section of a quaint cottage where the Sharma family have been staying for more than a century. The name Constantia is derived from the name of the oldest building in town built by the “Raj” in 1836 as a staging bunglow. The building still exists in Kurseong and now houses the Sub-Divisional Officer of the area. The whole area was and is still is referred t

o as Constantia View Point. Kurseong is situated at an elevation of 4,864 feet and with a congenial climate that has an advantage over Darjeeling for tourists wanting to spend their holidays at a hill station yet want to avoid the chill. On a clear day one can see the peaks of the magnificent Kanchenjunga on one side and also get a bird’s eye view of the plains receding to a distant horizon. We welcome you to stay with us at Constantia Cottage and be a part of the family.
