We are thrilled to share an exciting project that has been a long-cherished dream for the Suru Valley community! Introducing the newest addition to our efforts - a bouldering wall at the local primary school!
Since the inception of Suru Fest, our mission has been clear: to educate and expose the incredible people of Suru Valley to the wonders of climbing. With their natural ability to excel in climbing, and the rocky surroundings that further enable their skills, we knew there was something magical here waiting to be harnessed!
One of our primary goals has been to create meaningful employment opportunities for the locals through climbing. We firmly believe that in the future the locals of suru valley could be some of the best rock guides and competition climbers in india.
For years now, we've conducted climbing workshops for local school children, and we've been blown away by the sheer talent and passion they exhibit! This year, with the generous support of ATS Homecraft, BoulderBox, and Climb City, we are taking it a step further! The bouldering wall at the primary school will be a year-round platform for these young climbers to hone their skills and embrace the sport they love, beyond just the annual fest.
As we look forward to the future, we can't help but dream big! With rock climbing becoming an Olympic sport, this very wall could be the breeding ground for future champions! But beyond that, we see this project as a testament to the power of community support and unity. It's the collective effort of the people of Surufest community that has made this vision come to life.
We are immensely grateful for everyone who has stood by us in this journey - the locals, the volunteers, the sponsors, and the well-wishers! Together, we are building not just a bouldering wall, but a brighter future for the incredible people of Suru Valley.
