Pangong Tso (Lake)
The vast lake situated at an altitude of 4218 m is 130 kms long and 4 kms wide. It is around 145 kms from Leh. The lake has no outlet so the water has high salt and mineral content. Because of this the lake cannot support aquatic life. The Lake is spectacular, surrounded by multicolored mountains and its reflection makes the lake beautiful. The color of the lake changes shades throughout the day. The division of lake between India and China makes it different from the other Lake.
