Introducing Tanvi our facilitator and her concept for our camp.
Tanvi practices architecture with extensive on-ground experience working with urban and rural communities, helping access housing as a vehicle for community empowerment.

For the last ten years, she has been working on projects facilitating the design of homes for the low income strata with local artisans and appropriate materials in India and Nepal

Introducing our facilitator and his core concept that he will be exploring.
Vishnu is a versatile Artist – Architect – Educator who works both, independently as a freelance installation artist and a visiting tutor. He has helped expand architectural thinking through his courses, design studios and material workshops over the last decade.

“I believe maintenance is the key to sustenance. If you can prolong the life of old things and find a new way to use old material you have saved energy and the burden of having to re-process and recycle. I would rather look for ways to adapt and re-purpose the material to fit the intended design. Discarded objects embody memories of the past. It tells a story that I intend to continue into my design.”

His work emphasizes the importance of ecological consciousness and conservation of human intuition while re-imagining alternative futures.

Ujjval is a practicing artist exploring sculpture and drawing as a means of inquiry into life. Ujjval’s works depict his life in various forms and stages.

From metal scraps to wooden waste, everything we up-cycle in the most innovative ways and put our heart and soul into them to give them a second life, we pick them up while they take up space in the scrapyards or landfills.

We are calling in for volunteers to join us at our site, work with the team of architects, artists, designers and innovators. You get a hand-on experience, learn, and contribute towards the model. Located at an altitude of 4500 mts along side the village of Karzok, this lake has attracted alot of tourists recently.
The hamlet of Karzok has now turned into a tourist hub buzzing with energy. Dotted with homestays, guest houses and hotels facing the lake.

Happy new year guys !!!

Monday February 24 is the first day of the new lunar year in the cosmological system followed by Tibetan Buddhists, and is called Losar. The coming year will be the Year of the Iron Rat.

The rat is the first animal of the zodiac and is associated with wealth and surplus. People born in a Year of the Rat are said to be industrious and thrifty, as well as likeable, intuitive and positive.
