We will taste these starting at 9.30am

I was munching on these nature's true gifts today at farm and remembered you all. So am getting some for you to taste at Santhe tomorrow.

The plater has :
1. Ziziphus jujuba - ಎಲಚೆ ಹಣ್ಣು - Indian jujube (Dark Orange)
2. Toddalia asiatica - ಕಾಡು ಮೆಣಸೆ ಹಣ್ಣು - Forest pepper (Orange & Green)
3. Ziziphus oenopolia - ಕಾಕಿ ಹಣ್ಣು - Jackle jujube (Black)
4. Cipadessa baccifera - ನರಸೆ ಹಣ್ಣು - Mountain neem (Maroon)

7 days between 18th - 24th of November every year are dedicated to spread the awareness and consolidate action to fight this global challenge as the 'World Anti-Microbial Resistance Awareness Week' or WAAW.

This risk is now and here.. and appropriately the theme for 2025 is 'ACT NOW : Protect our present, Secure our future'

A meaningful life that truly is an epitome of being human spreading love and care has unfortunately come to an end. Nevertheless, the legacy this humble soul has left behind will remain active for years, decades and centuries to come in the form of those gagantic Ficus trees pumping tonnes of life into innumerable creatures big and small that live around them.

Any amount of appreciation is less for an act of this scale, Nature Inspires hopes the message *Saalumarada Thimmakka* has given us ignites a thousand minds to walk the path.

May the soul find a place in eternity. We salute you together Saalumaradajji 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💐💐💐🌳🌳🌳

"Successful Farming" need not always be seen as growing acres or rows of highly popular crops. That is proving to be disastrous on environment, difficult on labour and commercially not viable due to change in social situations and climate conditions.

Instead, how about working with Nature, respecting local biodiversity and letting our traditional knowledge guide us to success and also heal the community of its worries....??

Does this sustainable endeavor also count as "successful farming" and most importantly will it fill the stomach of the practitioner/farmer???

Nature Inspires India leads the way and demonstrates that it indeed does through its earth-friendly and community-building initiatives.

At Nature Inspires - Chiguru Ecospace(NICE), we look for available resources including wild, uncultivated ones (commonly termed as w**ds) and produce value-added items to target basic needs of a sustainable community.

Attached video has a glimpse one such sustainable farming example in action at NICE. Proud to state that most of the ingredients used in making of Nivaarini, our all natural herbal pain-relief oil is gathered from our natural "wild" farm. A bountiful gift of love from mother nature!, Nivaarini has proved to be effective time and again and has a good fan following at our weekly farmer's market Sogadu Santhe. The product is always in demand and flies off the shelf within no time leaving many others waiting for the next possible batch :)

ಭೀಮನ ಬಲವನ್ನೇ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲ ಎಂದು, ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೀಮನ ಕಡ್ಡಿ ಎಂದೇ ಹೆಸರಿರುವ Sida cordifolia ಗಿಡವನ್ನ ನರಗಳ ದೌರ್ಬಲ್ಯ ಹಾಗು ನೋವು ನಿವಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಮನೆ ಮದ್ದಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವುದುಂಟು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಸೆ???🤔🙄

ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಆಹಾರ!!! ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ತಿಂಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೀಮನಕಡ್ಡಿಯ ದೋಸೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಸವಿದದ್ದಾಯಿತು😍😋

Happily enjoyed Sida cordifolia dose this morning for breakfast. This plant is known as a nurve tonic and excellent pain releiver.
