A senior police officer of the Government of Madhya Pradesh recently stayed with us, and took the trouble to write to me: This is what he said.

At the outset allow me to express my appreciation for a wonderful stay that we had at The Ahilya Fort, a few days ago.

Having witnessed the hospitality at various 5 star Hotels, Resorts and similar properties, including those of all major groups- Intercon, Sheraton, Marriott, Hilton, etc in my 25 years of service with the Government, across 4 continents, the experiences one has had are amongst the best and thus give rise to high expectations. However, that said, the service, food quality, upkeep of rooms, intricate attention to detail and emphasis on the environment and cleanliness we observed at the Ahilya Fort was right up there with the best in the world. It is indeed a great asset for the state of Madhya Pradesh and the country.
