About 50 years old, Mountain Woods has withstood time and the unpredictable mountain weather to become more rustic and aesthetically old worldly in the way it looks. The house is almost entirely made of wood, built in an old Himachali style construction, best suited for a perfect mountain stay! The house has an angeethi in the main hall and an attic that leads to the main guest room on top. Undoub
tedly, porch is the main attraction of the house and of course a perfect place to unwind or relax. Sit there and enjoy the lush Greenery which surrounds the house and ogle at the 360 degree view of the mountain ranges which surround the valley. Mountain Woods is situated only a km away from Hadimba temple, and is a quick 5 min walk from Nasogi village parking. It makes for a perfect weekend escape from city madness and if you are seeking for peace, then this is your place to be! The only sound that you hear is of the running water in the stream behind and few Himalayan sparrows pecking at the window glass of the room. The house leads to walking/running trails into the forest behind. One can trail run all the way till Kanyal village. For those interested in hiking, can head on the trails to Bada pathar or even till Lamadug (3100m). For serious trekkers, there is a trek to Khanpari Tibba (4050m) peak that starts right from the house itself and takes around 7-8 hours for the round trip. The guest room is a cozy little room, furnished with a double bed, cupboards, lamps and carpets. The wooden ceiling and floor keeps the room warm, even during cold winters. The kitchen stove is open to use for the guests, and we have Shanta didi taking care of the house, in case one needs help during their stay. The house is open to guests from 14th May, 2017.
