Pointers for Barot and people who are planning to come for the first time.
1. Pls do come in and be surprised when you reach Barot❤️.
2. Barot is 65kms from Mandi Town towards Dharamshala.60 kms from Bir Billing.
3. 500kms from Delhi 11 hrs drive same or less then Manali.
4. 250kms from Chandigarh 6hrs drive.
5.110kms from Kullu (Airport) 4 hrs drive.
6.100 kms from Dharamshala(Airport) 3 hrs drive.
7. People with vehicles pls fillup at Mandi or Jogindernagar while coming in as the nearest petrol pump is in Jogindernagar. But you do get petrol in emergency.
8. We have a Govt hospital and 3 medical shops here. And as well a private medical practitioner Dr Pankaj.
9. We have just one ATM PNB at Barot.
10. You don't get bikes on hire but I'm sure with you guys coming in we will have options soon. Though you do get cycles her and taxis are aplenty.
11. Basic necessities are all available but pizza base, pasta,cheese,herbs you will have to carry and all the things that you can't live without stock up. They can be arranged but coming from Mandi or elsewhere will take a day or two.
12. Net speeds of mobile are reliable at 25 to 30 mbps.We have wireless wifi also.If you already have backups do carry them.
13. Power back-up is not required as we don't have unscheduled outages at Barot. Untill and unless something untoward happens.
14. We have Waterfalls, hikes and treks if you want to enjoy that and offcourse the River Ulh.If you are looking for seclusion,idyllic,isolated,non-commercial beautiful location by the river...and nothing but natural solitude you can't find a better place then Barot in Himachal.
