Recently thinking of doing ''Airbnb Experience'' on cooking. Tea and breakfast is complimentary. But want to make lunch and dinner for the guests. Special marathi authentic food made on the traditional 'chul' and coal or dry wood.

Airbnb is the best thing which allows me to do the things the way I want it. My guest's reviews are helping me to improve myself and improvise.
It allows me to learn from every new guests. They make me realize how beautiful this world is. My family is growing. I have many daughters in many countries. I have friends in many places around the world.

Hi friends!! Its been a long long while that I wrote or shared anything with you all here at the Boutique Bombay Homestay.
But I am back and happy to be a part of this beautiful Global platform. Airbnb always has something which helps us to share with each other, be it the knowledge experience or talent.
This 19th they had arranged at the Home Sharing Club of Mumbai Airbnb 'week for good', on 1) 'Minimal use of things', 2)'the famous three R' s 'reuse reduce recycle' and 3) 'Composting'.
And here I was given the opportunity to share with them about composting. Yes!! I have been doing composting for last five years. No kitchen waste or leftover food goes to the BMC. I make my own compost and since then my garden plants are happy and green.
At the end of the event I surprised everyone with a sapling of their choice from mogra(jasmine), rose and shoe flower (hibiscus). And they were very happy. They send me a picture of the flowers from the sapling. It was a wonderful event.
There is so much joy in giving. ❤️

Hi friends,
Its been after a long time that I said anything about Mumbai. The weather has become so pleasant with the rains still continuing their down pour. Its lush green everywhere. The trees are all clean n green.

The young crowd is waiting for the most colourful, vibrant and musical festival of India, the NAVRATRI. This is the festival of dance and music for 9 consecutive days. People forget their age and enjoy dancing. It is called as GARBA and DANDIYA. Garba is played with hands. Dandiya is played with 2 wooden sticks, which are 1 to 1 1/2 feet long. They are well decorated. The music is traditional songs or bollywoods famous numbers.

The most beautiful aspect of this musical festival is the dresses. Girls are in beautiful, colourful Ghagaras. The boys are in the short kurtas which come upto the waist's and churidars. Though boys feel more comfortable in long kurtas and churidars.

On the home front the mom's celebrate this festival with worshipping the goddess for the 9 days by fasting. There is a colour code for each day. So the famous Mumbai local trains and their stations look beautiful in one colour.

So friends do join us for our colourful and musical festival starting on the 2nd of October. We will have fun dancing in our colourful Ghagaras.

And on the 10th day i.e. 11th October is our auspicious Dassehra where an effigy of Ravana is burned to wave of evil from our society. Its a big day and celebrated al over India.
