This festival gives an opportunity for the tourists to bid best wishes to the newly born sea turtle hatchlings while they crawl towards the sea. The Olive Ridleys, which are protected under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife Protection Act- 1972, comes in large numbers for the nesting season Nov-Jan which might get extended till Feb and beyond depending on the weather conditions. The female digs a hole in sand and lays 100 – 120 eggs which gets incubated after 45 to 55 days.

* Travel towards Velas by private non a/c vehicle. Pickups on the way at Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Vashi and Panvel.
Saturday, 12th March 2022
* Reach Velas by 5:30 am
* Freshen up and move towards Velas Beach to see Turtle hatchlings by 7:00 am
* Back to village for Breakfast
* Leave to Bankot Fort by 10:00 am
* Back to Village by 12:00 pm
* Lunch and Rest
* Evening Tea by 4:00 pm
* Visit to the Velas Beach to find out some more Turtle hatching
