A sudden downpour last evening brought the temperature tumbling to 10 degrees. Then the sun shone, and looking out of my bedroom window I saw a magnificent double rainbow, shimmering in the magical evening sunlight. Double rainbows are lucky, they say. At The Burra Bungalow in Mussoorie, you awake to birdsong, blue skies and ripening plums under the golden summer sun while nasturtium and larkspur do battle with rose hedges to find space to bloom.
The nights under starry skies, where the moon shines brighter than the street lights and those of mist and rain make one appreciate snug jackets and hot cocoa in May!
