Sonder is the first of its kind backpacker's hostel in Mysore, a city of great heritage and cultural value. Just 3.4 kilometers away from the City Railway Station, Sonder provides independent travellers of all ages with high quality accomodation at a very affordable price. Located in one of the very posh areas in Mysore, Sonder has a variety of cafes, restaurants and eat-outs in the neighborhood.

Sonder, bursting with amazing facilities is designed to cater to most of the needs of a backpacker as well as a tourist. With its well mannered staff, Sonder makes you feel at home as soon as you set foot in it. If you like travelling (in its purest form) and want to stay in Mysore, then Sonder is the best possible place in Mysore that caters to your every need.

Dear Peeps,
This was long due. A closure to a place that has tried to infuse happiness, peace, camaraderie and fulfillment to everyone who has stepped in here.
It's time to put the final nail to a feeble hope. A hope to resurrect that didn't cease to die no matter how much we tried for months.

We closed down Sonder in June. It was unsustainable financially to continue to run the place. But we hoped we could open it again at some point. But now it's time to move on.

It was such a pleasure to host such variety of people, some of you have become good friends. You have enriched our lives with new ideas and thought processes.

Reminiscences of the days spent at the place are welcome.

Rooftop chill evening 🌇 in Sonder is one of the 👌favourite pastime of our guests. Sharing ideas of travel🏠🌏🏖️🏕️, yoga🙏 and life🌱 itself never was this satisfying👐. To realise that no one is a stranger🤝 in our life after sharing few laughs😂 and banter😄 is deeply fulfilling and is the very essence of traveling🌏🌐🚆🛵✈️

Everyday when we start our day in the hostel, we wonder🤔 "who are we going to meet today, whose lives are we crisscrossing."🤞 Most often we meet very interesting people. We connect, interact and learn myriad number of things from their lives and their journey🌏. One such soul who floated into our hostel is Miraz Bezar, a Kurdish independent movie🎬📽️ director from Turkey who lives in Germany 🇩🇪. His film "Before your eyes" has won numerous awards 🏆 and received accolades 👏 all over the world. We consider it an honour 🙏to have spent time discussing world cinema and history of Turkey over breakfast 🍽️. 🎬
