CHEF SUYASH SUGGESTS EASY TO MAKE SALADS

Add a healthy yet delicious bowl of salad to your meals this weekend. Here are a few ‘easy to toss salads’ that go with your drinks as finger foods as well as with the main meal.
1) Corn Capsicum Salad:
a. Frozen Sweetcorn : 1 cup (if you use fresh, you need to boil it to cook it)
b. Capsicum-green/red/yellow: ½ cup sliced
c. Olive oil : 1 tsp
d. Cheese : 1 cube fine grated
Toss the sweetcorn, capsicum, oregano, garlic salt with olive oil. Chill for 10 minutes and serve with grated cheese garnish.

2) Tomato with Feta Cheese Salad:
a. Tomatoes : 4 ripe firm tomatoes
b. Feta Cheese or Cottage Cheese: 50 gms crumbled
Dice the tomatoes, crumble the cheese. Toss it with some salt and pepper.

3) Crunchy Greens Salad:
a. Ice Lettuce : 1 small head
b. Baby Spinach : appx 1 cup
c. Carrot : 1 ( thin sliced)
d. Beet Root: 1 (thin slice)
Soak the above in ice water. Keep olive oil, salt , pepper mix ready in a big bowl. Just before serving, remove from water and put in the bowl that contains the mix. Toss it up and serve.
