Tiger Thursday with Srushti

T101 fondly called as “Chota Hathi” because of his humongous size. Huge male tiger who ruled the most beautiful part of sillari for almost 4yrs. This guy migrated from West side of Pench Maharashtra and most probably is a part of JAY lineage.

FACT About Tigers -
• Tiger canines are very long and sharp teeth.
• They can be up to 3 inches (7–8 cm) long helps in holding prey.
• Tigers use their canines to catch, grip, and kill their prey.
• The canines help tigers bite the neck or throat of animals.
• Strong canines make tigers excellent hunters.

Birds of Srushti!!!

Brown Headed Barbet, largest in central indian landscape, bright green wings and tails and some creamish dots of neck and body. These barbets mostly feed on fruiting trees in Srushti of Jamun, Guava, mulberry and kadam too. It is a very common bird to spot in resort’s vicinity and specifically to hear their KUTOOR call

Try to remember the call and the image to spot them easily in jungles
