We’ve noticed that nobody really spends a day at Bodhi the way they thought they would.

Someone comes down for breakfast and stays chatting for another hour. Someone goes looking for the horses and ends up taking a walk around the farm. The kids disappear, friends find a spot to sit, and plans for the afternoon quietly change.

And that’s the nice thing about having five acres to yourself. You don’t have to decide what the day is going to look like.

The drive to Bodhi takes you through some of the prettiest roads around Nashik

As you leave the city behind, the roads get quieter and the views get greener. You pass vineyards, open fields and plenty of those stretches where you’ll probably find yourself slowing down just to take it all in.

And somewhere along the way, you end up rolling the windows down and letting the drive become part of the weekend.

One of our favourite little corners at Bodhi is right behind the villa.

Step out from the backyard and you’ll find rows of green stretching out in front of you. You can take a walk after breakfast, have a look at what’s growing, or just wander around for a while.

There’s nothing particularly planned about it, and maybe that’s exactly why people end up spending more time here than they expected.

It’s just one of those little parts of Bodhi that you get to discover when you’re here.
