About & History
Tourist Nest a guesthouse founded in 1986 by Mr. Joseph Castello. Mr. Joseph a true goan used to work with the government. He enjoyed hosting people and derived satisfaction from creating experiences for people visiting Goa. He started hosting people at his home. Slowly the things evolved and gave birth to Castello's Tourist Nest. A peaceful and green space in the beautiful village of Benaulim. Making friends with visitors from all over the world. A lot of his friends started coming back again and again.
Castello's son, Mr. Savio Castello started helping his father right from the age of 14. Savio has dedicated his efforts in taking forward his fathers dream and passion. Today Castello's tourist nest has over 30 years of history and home to many tourists from across the globe. The relationships have grown and our friends keeping visiting us year after year and we look forward to spending time with them.
Mr Savio Castello studied European & Russian revolution history and dedicated his efforts in the tourism development of Benaulim. Savio enjoys spending time with his guests sharing his childhood experiences and stories of the Portuguese times of Goa. He has witness Goa changing and being influenced over the years by various cultures.
