The power of failure is the most underrated sweet spot in the journey of self-mastery. For it brings to fore the power of simplified living, honors honest human connections and brings about communal celebrations to rise and shine together. 🌈🍄🌟
But while we deep-dive this week into sharing more about Ahoy & Co.'s simplified living philosophy for Friends of Navi Mumbai, it's important to see the real gaps that we as humans are faced by on a day to day basis as artists and entrepreneurs as female founders.
In a patriarchal society, a woman is supposed to do-it-all at home while men are trained to toil hard in the "real world" to prove their "manlihood."
In a matriarchal household, a woman is still supposed to do-it-all at home and in the "real world" while men are trained to lose their identity in the name of "being a supportive" partner.
These two subversive narratives fed into our programming early on then leads to:
A. Dysfunctional families and unhappy marriages, which then work their way into our life through compromise, sacrifice and depression.😶🌫️
B. Lack of financial planning and child care support systems, leading to controlled childhood and unsafe environments for holistic growth.😵💫
C. Biased representation of those who lack access to privilege by either glorifying few rags to riches stories or exemplifying the suffering of masses.😑
D. False pregnancy mindset wherein we project a perfect life, a happening social media profile while also being lost and confused inside, just to protect our future image of selves, while losing the vitality of present moment and joy of vulnerability and intimacy.🤗
E. Pressure of current banking system leading to unreasonable deficits which a middle class person has no wherewithal to carry on his already burdened shoulders, thus taking away the power of communal gathering and connection away forever, leading to isolation and desolation 🥺
F. This then leads to co-dependency on technology and algorithms taking the potential of intimacy and vulnerability far away from our innate need to be seen and accepted, leading to mental & emotional dissonance.
