Sol de Goa opened its doors as in 2010 and was immediately heralded as an innovative new hotel, blending local themes and exquisitely hand-crafted design with modern luxuries and warm, attentive service. The hotel was named by Conde Nast to its Hotel Hot List in 2011. Renamed to Sol de Goa, the hotel is part of Sun Leisure (India) Pvt. Ltd., and remains the top choice for discerning travelers to North Goa.

The 21 suites and rooms at Sol de Goa have undergone a refreshing refurbishment and are now up-to-date with state-of-the-art technology, plush furnishing and exquisite bathrooms. These classy rooms overlook two swimming pools, fields and a river, ensuring a rejuvenating and relaxing stay. Originally designed by Tarun Tahliani, each received a statement makeover and are all WiFi-accessible with boosters, including top-of-the-range toiletries by Inara and a wide selection of tea and gourmet coffee from Devi’s coffee.

Highly appreciated contemporary Indian cuisine with a twist, experiments with food to create new, out-of-the-ordinary dining experiences in a beautiful ambience are always on the menu at Sol de Goa. Chef Sanchit Behl from Chandigarh lends much influence from his traditional cooking methods and flavours while Chef Maia Laifungbam with roots in Goa and Northeast India incorporates a love of her own ethnic flavours onto the plate. International cooking methods and techniques coupled with classic Indian flavours in a fine dining experience define the conceptual dining experience at Sol de Goa. The inspiration comes from the love for Indian and mouth-watering street foods. The chefs blend the local with the global, bringing in the best Goan products sourced locally with the highest quality and fresh produce from both the land and the sea.
